His 13-year journey with the company began as Financial Controller for 10 years before advancing to his current role, which includes serving as senior person CEO for Fieldair Engineering.

Holding a Bachelor of Business Studies in Accountancy, Nolan combines strong financial acumen with a people-focused management approach. Colleagues describe him as "friendly and approachable" with a good sense of humour and a measured approach to decision making.

"What I love most is seeing people grow and develop and push the boundaries of what they believed they were capable of," says Nolan, whose leadership philosophy focuses on achieving outcomes that exceed customer expectations. His vision is clear: "I want Fieldair to be the most successful aviation solutions business in New Zealand."

As Fieldair's CEO, Brett brings over 35 years of aviation engineering expertise to his leadership role. A Licensed Aircraft Engineer with both New Zealand and American credentials, Brett combines technical knowledge with strategic vision to guide the company's future.

Before joining Fieldair, Brett served as Engineering Manager for 10 years, holding one of the three key senior positions in a Part 145 maintenance organisation. This background gives him invaluable insight into the technical and regulatory complexities of aviation maintenance.

Known for being approachable and thoughtful, Brett believes in listening before speaking and empowering the professionals around him. "We're working with professionals who often have the answers already—you just need to get them out," he explains. His leadership philosophy focuses on building relationships with customers, suppliers, and staff while developing Fieldair's considerable untapped potential. Brett takes particular satisfaction in seeing team members grow and develop, believing in exceeding customer expectations through quality work delivered at fair prices.

Kim brings over a decade of experience within the aviation industry to her role as Financial Controller / HR Manager at Fieldair. Since joining the company in 2015 as Assistant Accountant, she has progressively built her expertise and taken on greater responsibility, advancing to her current position in 2023.

Her professional background combines financial management with human resources and customer service capabilities—skills honed during her five years at HELiPRO, where she managed HR and payroll functions for a complex, multi-base helicopter operation. This diverse experience enables Kim to understand the unique challenges of aviation businesses and the importance of supporting both the financial health and the people who drive organisational success.

Known for her strong capabilities in payroll administration, human resources management, and customer service, Kim plays a vital role in maintaining Fieldair's financial integrity while supporting the company's continued growth across New Zealand's aviation sector.

Colleagues describe James as organised, reliable, and detail-oriented, with a calm demeanour under pressure and strong leadership abilities. These qualities enable him to excel in aviation's dynamic environment, where adaptability and multitasking are essential.

"Every day is different," James says about what he loves most about his position. He takes particular satisfaction in creating seamless experiences for customers and finding growth opportunities for the business. "The opportunity to make a real impact keeps me engaged," he adds, "knowing that my work directly contributes to our customers' success."

With 35 years of industry experience and over two decades in leadership roles, Gareth brings comprehensive aviation knowledge to his position as Avionics Manager at Fieldair. His background in middle management for a large airline, combined with his Aircraft Engineer's Licence, provides the foundation for his effective oversight of avionics maintenance operations.

Known for being approachable and logical in his approach, Gareth excels at troubleshooting complex issues and developing practical solutions. "No two days are the same," he says, embracing the variety and continuous learning that comes with aviation maintenance.

Working alongside his capable team, Gareth focuses on delivering quality outcomes for customers in a timely manner—maintaining the high standards and customer-focused approach that Fieldair is known for throughout New Zealand's aviation sector.

As Fieldair's Aircraft Manager, Nic brings comprehensive expertise backed by his NZCAA Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer credentials. His impressive qualifications span Helicopter Groups 1 and 2, Aeroplane Groups 1, 2, and 4, with specific ratings on the Kingair B200, J31/32, and Cessna Citation 525, as well as specialised engine knowledge covering Allison 250, Rolls Royce RR300, PT6, and TPE331-10/12.

Nic's international experience extends across New Zealand, Australia, and Papua New Guinea, working on a diverse range of aircraft. Colleagues describe him as "busy, hardworking, and funny" – qualities that serve him well in a demanding role.

With particular expertise in Group 1 and 2 Helicopters and BK117 support, Nic focuses on offering exceptional value to customers through both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance. When asked what motivates him, his answer is simple: "My family."

With over 20 years of experience across high-risk industries including petrochemical, mining, government sectors, and medical laboratories, Carina brings comprehensive expertise to her role overseeing Fieldair's Safety Management System (SMS). Her focus is ensuring compliance with Civil Aviation Authority requirements while promoting a proactive, people-centred safety culture.

Holding a degree in Safety Management and qualifications as an ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, along with Tōtika Prequalification and SafePlus Auditor credentials, Carina combines technical knowledge with a systems-based, people-first approach. She specialises in simplifying processes, driving continuous improvement, and helping teams achieve excellence through practical coaching and mentoring.

Described as approachable, honest, and supportive, with a good sense of humour and a genuine passion for helping others succeed, Carina believes that while compliance is vital, people are the heart of the business. "I love helping people see how safety systems can make work easier, safer, and more effective," she says.

With decades of hands-on aviation experience, Bert manages Fieldair's Component Overhaul and Repair section with practical expertise and a commitment to excellence. Armed with a New Zealand Trade Certificate in Automotive Engineering and specialised training in Non-Destructive Testing, Bert brings valuable problem-solving skills to every project that comes through the workshop.

His extensive background encompasses engine overhaul for both piston and radial engines, helicopter maintenance, and automotive expertise that extends to hot rod and custom car building – showcasing the practical ingenuity that defines our approach to aviation challenges.

"Getting items completed in a timely manner with top quality" is what drives Bert, who takes particular pride in building strong customer relationships and delivering the outstanding service that Fieldair is known for.
